Shreveport Police Traffic Stop Leads to Felon Arrest With Drugs and Gun
On March 20th, 2023, around 2:24 p.m. members of the Shreveport Police Traffic unit and members of the Community Response Unit conducted a traffic stop at Interstate 220 and Hilry Huckaby Avenue in reference to a vehicle with numerous traffic violations.
During the traffic stop, Officers contacted a male inside the vehicle. A roadside investigation revealed that the subject was in possession of multiple types of narcotics and a firearm. Officers seized the handgun and narcotics.
Marcus Ellis (2-14-88) was arrested for one count of possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, one count of possession of a schedule two, one count of possession of a schedule one narcotic with intent to distribute, one count of possession of a schedule four narcotic with intent to distribute, and one count of possession of a firearm by a person convicted of domestic violence.
The law requires that we remind that all persons are innocent until proven guilty.
