SHREVEPORT, LA-  Shreveport police make an arrest in homicide investigation

On November 7, 2023, officers were dispatched to the 4800 block of McDaniel Drive following the discovery of a gunshot victim. The victim was pronounced deceased by the Shreveport Fire Department, prompting a thorough homicide investigation.

Detectives from the Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Unit diligently worked to piece together the details surrounding this senseless act. Through the detective's steady commitment, a suspect was identified as 18-year-old Koryeon Vance.

On December 1st, 2023, Vance was apprehended and is now facing charges of second-degree murder in connection with this homicide. The arrest signifies a crucial step forward in bringing justice to the victim.
