Shreveport Police Net 5 Felons with Drugs & Firearms
SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport police take more illegally owned firearms off the streets with the arrest of five felons over the weekend
The Shreveport Police Department arrested several violent offenders armed with firearms this weekend in order to work to improve the overall safety of our community. Chief Wayne Smith and his command staff strategically placed officers in areas of the city including but not limited to the downtown area.
Officers arrested Tdarius Jackson (12-16-95) and Jasean Davis (12-20-00) on August 27th around 12:30 a.m. after they were contacted on a traffic stop at Commerce Street and Travis Street. Both were found to be convicted felons armed with a firearm as well as a large amount of narcotics.
Officers arrested Kory Hill (11-19-89) on August 27th around 1:37 a.m. after he was found to be a convicted felon armed with a firearm in the 200 block of Commerce Street.
Officers arrested Albert Johnson (10-13-85) on August 26th around 2:02 a.m. after he was contacted on a traffic stop at Edwards Street and Texas Street. He was found to be a convicted felon armed with a firearm.
Officers arrested Demarirea Mims (11-20-01) on August 26th around 2:00 a.m. after he was contacted on a traffic stop at Fairfield Avenue and East 70th Street and was found to be a convicted felon armed with a firearm. Mims was also found to be in possession of narcotics.
All narcotics were seized as evidence.
All are considered innocent until proven guilty
