Shreveport Police Make Arrests in Early April Homicide
All three suspects in an early April murder have been apprehended by Shreveport Police. Two were arrested in Fort Worth, and the other turned herself in.
On April 4, 2021 just before 11:00 p.m. Shreveport Police responded to a scene in the 5600 block of Hearne Avenue to reports of a shooting. Officers located a 30-year-old woman, Jalecia Jennings suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to Ochner LSU Health Hospital where she later died from her injuries.
Homicide and Crime Scene Units responded to the scene and began their investigations. Detectives collected evidence from the scene and gathered video and investigators conducted a canvass of the area and spoke with witnesses.
In the weeks that followed detectives were able to identify three people that they believe responsible for the homicide. The following warrants were procured for those individuals:
Charles D Combs B/M (6-9-1990) - Second Degree Murder - No Bond
Charles D Combs B/M (6-9-1990) - Second Degree Battery - No Bond
Jasmine S Fox B/F (9-11-1990) - Second Degree Murder - No Bond
Andrea Mitchell B/F (7-11-1989) - Accessory After the Fact to Second Degree Murder - No Bond
On April 21, 2021, Charles D Combs and Andrea Mitchell were arrested in Fort Worth, Texas by the US Marshals Task Force. Detectives conducted interviews and both are awaiting extradition back to Caddo Parish.
Jasmine Fox was apprehended after turning herself in to Shreveport police on 4/23/2021.
This investigation is still ongoing, and mugshots of Charles D Combs and Andrea Mitchell are currently unavailable as they are still awaiting extradition from Fort Worth.
