Shreveport Police Make Arrest in Armed Robbery Incident
SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport police make an arrest in a recent robbery incident
On November 4th around 4:00 p.m. Shreveport Police Officers responded to the 8400 block of Millicent Way in reference to an armed robbery.
Patrol officers determined that a suspect produced a knife and demanded items belonging to the victim. The suspect then fled the scene in what was later determined to be a stolen vehicle. The victim was not injured in the incident.
Officers were able to locate the stolen vehicle in a parking lot in the 1600 block of East Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. Officers were also able to locate the suspect who was identified as Carl Layton (10-12-90). Layton has been charged with one count of Armed Robbery, one count of Theft of a Motor Vehicle, and two counts of Property Damage.
We are required to remind that suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
