SHREVEPORT, LA-   Shreveport Police Department makes 12 DWI Arrests over the weekend

The Shreveport Police Department continues to intensify its efforts to combat impaired driving, resulting in a significant number of recent DWI arrests. The following individuals have been charged as part of this ongoing initiative:

· Bell, Yinessa – DWI 2nd Offense

· Bradford, Devonta – DWI 1st Offense

· Doughty, Andrew – DWI 1st Offense

· Graham, Brittany – DWI 1st Offense

· Green, Curteria – DWI 1st Offense, Possession of Alcohol by Under 21

· Hashielder, Matthew – DWI, Multiple Traffic Violations

· Hines, Carl – DWI 1st Offense, Obstruction of a Public Passage

· Marshall, Timothy – DWI 1st Offense, Hit and Run

· Melvin, Jonathan – DWI, Hit and Run

· Nguyen, Vinh – DWI 1st Offense

· Porter, Charles – DWI, Resisting Arrest

· Salazar, Luis – DWI 1st Offense

Chief Smith and the SPD DWI Unit want to remind citizens that if they choose to drink and drive in Shreveport, there is a strong likelihood that they will be caught and arrested. The department stresses that many fatal vehicle accidents involve impaired or drunk drivers.
