Shreveport Police Arrest Man Charged with Attempted 2nd Degree Murder
SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport Police make an arrest in a shooting that injured another man
On September 18th, 2023, at 12:26 p.m., Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 3400 block of Illinois Avenue. Responding officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower body. The victim was transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover.
Investigators with the Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and began their investigation into the incident. After a thorough investigation detectives found Lloyd Ivory (10/03/1995) reportedly shot the victim and fled the scene.
Detectives were able to locate Ivory on October 17th and he was arrested for one count of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, illegal use of a firearm, and Convicted Felon in possession of a Firearm.
We must remind that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
