Shreveport NICU Babies Celebrate Halloween With Tons of Cuteness
If you were able to take your kids trick-or-treating on Halloween, you probably didn't give much thought to the fact of how blessed you were. We usually don't. It's only natural. But we end up taking so much for granted, like our health, or the health of our children. I only say that because I came across these pictures of these beautiful babies that were posted by an amazing staff at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport St. Mary's Medical Center.
Even though Halloween 2022 has passed, we couldn't help but share these sweet photos of the precious little ones in the NICU at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport St. Mary's Medical Center.
Because St. Mary's is a Level III unit, they are able to care for some of the smallest and sickest newborn babies, with access to a full range of pediatric medical subspecialties. Their unit, staffed with expert neonatologists, neonatology nurses and respiratory therapists are equipped to provide specialized care to full-term and premature newborns in a safe and secure setting 24/7.
Medical care for premature borns, as well as full-term newborns, has progressed so much in recent years, and Shreveport is fortunate to have a unit like this in our area. And when it's staffed by such caring individuals who take the time to try to make sure the parents of these newborns can try to enjoy a holiday, it just makes it that much more special.
