
One Dead, Two Wounded in Early Morning Shooting Outside Shreveport Motel
Violence erupts in Shreveport. 3 people were wounded during an early morning shooting outside the Levingston Motel on Pete Harris Drive between Travis and Sprague Street in the Allendale community.
Officers were called to the scene at about 1 in the morning after witnesses reported shots fired. The officers found 2 victims at the scene. A man and a woman had both been shot. They were rushed to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport with life-threatening wounds. The Caddo Parish Coroner has now confirmed to KEEL News that the woman has died from her wounds.
A third victim, another woman was grazed by a bullet and crashed her car into a utility pole. She later showed up at the hospital for treatment.
SPD Corporal Chris Bordelon says an unknown suspect began shooting outside in front of the motel, striking the victims.
This investigation is continuing and police are asking for help from the public to find information about this crime.
