Shreveport Police Arrest Man Wanted for May Shooting
Shreveport Police have arrested a man they believe is responsible for a shooting last month on Monkhouse Drive.
Demetrius Hill was arrested after the month-long search after confirming his identity. Police say Hill was involved in a heated argument that led to him shooting at the person he was fighting with. He left after the first shot was fired, but then he came back and shot the person in the hand.
Yesterday, SPD with the help of the Shreveport City Marshal's Office, were able to find and arrest Hill. He's looking at several charges related to the May shooting.
From SPD:
"The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to ensuring the safety of our community and holding those who commit acts of violence accountable."
