Shreveport Police Seeking Man Wanted for Domestic Violence
Shreveport Police are asking for the public’s help finding a suspect wanted for a brutal domestic violence incident involving a firearm and a young child.
Last month, a family member of the victim called SPD after the victim asked for Officers to be sent to her house. When SPD got to the scene, Officers made contact with the victim, who showed them visible bruising and scratch marks to her body.
The victim told Officers that her child’s father, Deontae Marsh, physically assaulted and strangled her inside her home. The victim went on to say that Marsh put a firearm in her face and threatened to shoot her before leaving the scene.
Investigators found out the incident happened in the presence of the couple’s 2 year-old daughter.
The victim and offender reportedly lived together and share one child.
Based on the victim’s statement, physical evidence, and observed injuries, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Marsh on the following charges:
• Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment
• Domestic Abuse Battery Strangulation
• Domestic Abuse Aggravated Assault
From SPD:
"Marsh is currently wanted by the Shreveport Police Department. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact SPD at 318-673-7300 or Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373. Tips can remain anonymous."
