UPDATE: Shreveport Man Shot Dead – Wife Faces Charges

On Sunday, May 16th, 2022, at 03:00a.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to the 3100 block of Regent Street in reference to a 911 call.
The responding officers located the victim deceased from a gunshot wound to the upper body.
The victim’s wife, Charlene Henderson (10/16/78) was located at the crime scene and taken into custody. She is charged with 2nd Degree Murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon for her alleged involvement in the murder of her husband.

A Shreveport man is dead from an apparent gun shot wound, and the wife has been taken into custody, according to Shreveport Police. Police responded to a call in the Ingleside neighborhood early this morning in the 3100 block of Regent St. They found a man dead from a gunshot wound in the head after he an his wife had reportedly gotten into a heated argument. The man reportedly reached for his gun during the argument. That's when his wife reportedly grabbed her gun and shot the man in his head. The Caddo Parish Coronor's office pronounced the man dead at the scene and removed the body. The woman was taken into custody for questioning.

This is the 25th homicide in Shreveport in 2022 following the death of Landry Anglin. Police spokesman Chris Bordelon told KEEL News they hope to have an arrest this week in that case.
