Shreveport Man Shoots Two: Sought by Police-UPDATE
SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport police are asking for your help finding a man wanted for a shooting that injures two people
On August 8th, 2023, around 9:00 p.m. Shreveport Police Officers were called to respond to a shooting in the 9000 block of Candlestick Lane. Arriving officers located two victims suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The Shreveport Fire Department transported the victims to a local area hospital.
Investigators with the Shreveport Police Violent Crimes and Crime Scene Units responded to the scene to collect evidence. Shreveport Police Detectives’ initial investigation revealed that the victims were reportedly involved in a verbal altercation with one of the victim’s child's father Deon Wesley. The witnesses stated that Deon Wesley (9-24-95) retrieved a firearm and fired shots striking the victims.
Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department have obtained arrest warrants for Wesley for two counts of second-degree Aggravated Battery. We are asking the public for assistance in locating Daniels. The victims are expected to recover. Wesley is considered armed and dangerous.
