Shreveport Man Gets Life Sentence For Killing His Girlfriend

A local man lands in jail for life for the 2008 murder of his girlfriend.

Caddo Parish District Court Judge Roy Brun issued that sentence to Christopher Darshun Taylor.

 He was found guilty of second degree murder earlier this week following a one-day bench trial. Taylor was convicted for the shooting death of Marshiva Little in the 1000 block of Martin Luther King Drive. Little was found walking along a street in Shreveport's Martin Luther King Jr. neighborhood bleeding from the head. She was taken to a local hospital where she died a couple of days later. Prosecutors were able to prove that an argument between Taylor and Little is what led to the shooting.
