Shreveport Man Charged in Toddler’s Death
A Shreveport man is behind bars after being linked to the death of an 18-month-old boy.
Shreveport police were called to University Health to reports of a little boy who had been taken to the hospital's emergency room via ambulance Wednesday morning.
When Kayden Stanley arrived, doctors learned he had suffered significant internal injuries and possible broken bones. Kayden was at his home in the 200 block of College Street with his mother, 20-year-old Tyler Stanley, and her live-in boyfriend, 22-year-old Jonathan Turk, prior to being taken to the hospital.
Following their preliminary investigation, detectives charged Turk with Kayden's death. He was booked into the Shreveport City Jail for second degree murder. The child's mother was not charged, but the investigation continues.
