Shreveport Man Arrested in Roadway Shooting
SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport man arrested for roadway shooting, two suspects outstanding
On October 16th, 2023, at 12:54 p.m., Shreveport Police responded to a call to assist an on-duty Shreveport City Marshal Deputy. The City Marshal Deputy had just observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed when the occupants began firing gunshots out the window. The City Marshal Deputy attempted to stop the vehicle and a pursuit ensued.
Shreveport Police Officers were able to assist as the vehicle fled, eventually leaving the roadway. Officers were able to take the suspected driver, Raymond Henry, into custody. Two additional suspects fled from the wrecked vehicle on foot and are outstanding at this time.
Henry (9-4-01) has been charged with one count of being an Aggravated Flight in a Vehicle and one count of Illegal Use of a Weapon. One of the weapons used in the offense was seized. We would like to thank the Shreveport City Marshal’s Office for their proactive assistance in this case.
