Shreveport Man Arrested for Sexually Assaulting a Child

A Shreveport man has been arrested for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl. The Caddo Sheriff's Office says 30-year-old Dameon Taylor was arrested folowing an investigation by the Caddo Sheriff's Youth Services Division. The child recently said she was sexually assaulted on several occasions in the fall of 2011. Taylor was booked into Caddo Correctional Center on one count of aggravated rape. His bond was set at $1-million. Detectives say this is the second time Taylor has been arrested for a sex crime involving a juvenile. He was convicted of sexual battery in 2000.
