Shreveport Man Arrested for Beating Man with Bar Stool
A Shreveport man is locked up accused of attacking another man after an argument.
Officers responded to a disturbance on Broadway Avenue after getting a call about an assault. Patrol officers four 36-year-old Brandon Singleton, unconscious and suffering from multiple head injuries. He was transported to University Health Hospital with what was described as life-threatening injuries.
After talking with witnesses, officers learned that Singleton and 37-year-old Quentin Hudson, of the 6700 block of Broadway Avenue, were involved in a verbal dispute that turned violent when Hudson allegedly struck Singleton with what was described as a bar stool, knocking him unconscious. Hudson then continued attacking the unconscious Singleton causing severe head trauma. Officers took Hudson into custody without incident and summoned investigators.
Investigators with the Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and continued the investigation. Evidence was collected from the scene and Hudson was taken to the Shreveport Police Complex for questioning. Following interviews, Hudson was booked into the Shreveport City jail on one count of attempted second degree murder and an outstanding warrant for obscenity.
