Shreveport Man Arrested After Threatening Woman With a Knife

SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport Police arrest a man after he threatens a women with a knife.

On August 5th, 2023, at 11:15 p.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a call of an assault and battery in the 4100 block of Reily Lane. The dispatcher was able to stay on the phone with the victim and provided critical evidence to officers. Responding officers found that a male was armed with a knife and determined to have threatened to kill a female family member.

Further investigation revealed that Demarcus Little (7-26-8223) was involved in a dispute while reportedly intoxicated. Little reportedly produced a knife and threatened to cut the victim's throat. Little was restrained by other residents inside the home.

Little was arrested by patrol officers and charged with one count of aggravated assault. No persons were injured in this incident.

We must remind that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
