Shreveport Police Arrest Man Following Knife Attack
On the morning of November 14th, just after 10:00 AM, Shreveport Police officers responded to a report of an armed individual at the Walmart located at 1125 Shreveport Barksdale Highway. Dispatch informed officers of a white male suspect seen banging on a car window with a knife, attempting to assault the person inside.
Upon arrival, officers received updated information that the suspect was walking in the 1200 block of Shreveport Barksdale Highway. Officers nearby quickly located the suspect and safely apprehended him without incident.
Further investigation revealed that the victim, a woman feeding homeless individuals in the Walmart parking lot, had been approached aggressively by the suspect, who was reportedly angered after being woken up. Officers found the knife used in the incident and were able to interview witnesses who corroborated the victim’s account. Thankfully, no one was injured.
Harley Mains has been charged with one count of felony possession of marijuana, one count of aggravated criminal property damage, and one count of aggravated assault.
