Shreveport Woman Guilty of Burning Boyfriend’s Mother’s Home

A wild situation leads to a Texas woman pleading guilty to arson in Caddo Court.

37-year-old Tory Reed, back in November of 2022 was arrested after setting fire to her boyfriend, Jenealious Johnson's mother's home. Reed told Firefighters when they showed up that she only meant to set the couch in the living room on fire, but the fire quickly spread over the rest of the house until the place burned down completely.

Police found out that Reed was the only person in the house at the time the fire was started so, thankfully there were no injuries. In court it was said that the damage amounted to over 54,000 dollars.

When Reed returns to court in February, she's looking at up to 15 years in prison at hard labor, and a fine of up to $15,000.
