SHREVEPORT, LA - There is now a confirmed report of an earthquake in the Shreveport Bossier City area.

The U.S. Geological Survey website is confirming a 3.3 earthquake early Thursday morning in the Uncertain, Texas area. But this quake could be felt across Shreveport and Bossier. Many residents of Blanchard, Mooringsport and Oil City are also reported to have felt the shaking.

The U.S. Geological Survey reports the quake apparently lasted less than five seconds.

No information report yet about any damage or injuries from this mild quake.
Our friend Derek James says "my cabinets in the kitchen shook and dogs went crazy!!" Derek lives in Blanchard.
Another resident of Blanchard, Janice Sartor White says she lives in Quiet Acres and the quake "knocked pictures off the wall and China Cabinet all messed up. Scared us to death!"
Molly Arceneaux Eason says she "thought our house got hit by a bus."
