Shreveport K-9 Officer Helps Make Arrest
Domestic violence is a problem across the nation. During a recent incident, Shreveport police used a K-9 officer to help make an arrest.
Monday, local police were called to a home in the 11000 block of Woodmere Street.
Patrol officers tried to get the people in the home to come out and talk with them, but no one would respond. Shreveport Police K-9, Sjaak, was then sent into the home to find and detain a possible suspect.
K-9 Sjaak was able to determine that the suspect had left and was hiding in a neighboring backyard. That suspect was treated at a local area hospital for minor injuries.
Ronald Harris was arrested for his alleged involvement in the incident and charged with domestic abuse battery with strangulation and child endangerment.
