Shreveport Woman Arrested for Domestic Violence and Home Invasion
Shreveport Police officers responded to an apartment complex on Lakeshore Drive in reference to a domestic violence incident.
When SPD got to the scene, they made contact with an adult male who was suffering from visible facial injuries. The victim told SPD that the incident stemmed from an ongoing dispute regarding the transportation and custody of a child.
The suspect arrived at the home and began aggressively kicking the front door. When the resident opened the door, the suspect allegedly forced her way inside and physically assaulted him, causing visible injuries.
Investigators further learned that the suspect entered the residence without permission and continued her abusive behavior despite being told that young children were inside the home.
The suspect allegedly damaged property by throwing objects through a kitchen window. A juvenile who was inside the residence at the time was struck by glass from the shattered window. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.
Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department's Domestic Violence Unit obtained warrants for 39 year-old Angelica Frazier, charging her with Home Invasion, Domestic Abuse Battery, and Simple Criminal Damage to Property.
Frazier was later located and taken into custody by the Bossier City Police Department before being transferred to Shreveport.
