Shreveport Man Wanted for Damaging His Girlfriend’s Car with a Gun
Shreveport Police detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for a man following an investigation into a domestic-related incident.
Investigators determined that Ja'Veis T. Brown intentionally damaged a vehicle occupied by his girlfriend while armed with a gun. Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) surveillance footage caught Brown approaching the parked vehicle, climbing onto the hood, and stomping on the windshield while the victim was inside the car.
As the victim attempted to leave the area, Brown continued damaging the vehicle by kicking it and hitting it with the hand gun.
Detectives reviewed footage, interviewed witnesses, and gathered evidence that corroborated what the victim told SPD. Probable cause was established, and an arrest warrant was obtained for Brown on one count of Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property.
From SPD:
The Shreveport Police Department reminds the public that domestic violence-related incidents can quickly escalate into dangerous situations. Anyone with information regarding Brown's whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Shreveport Police Department or Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers.
The investigation remains ongoing.
