
Shreveport Car Crash Leads to Gun and Drug Arrest
Over the weekend, the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a major motor vehicle crash on Interstate 3132 near Walker Road.
During the investigation, Deputies learned that one of the occupants of a vehicle had left the crash scene and was seen walking along Walker Road. A CPSO Deputy located the suspect and identified him as 20 year-old Antonio Walker.
While talking with Walker, the Deputy found that Walker was carrying a firearm and a backpack containing approximately 197 grams of suspected marijuana. Further investigation showed that Walker had taken the backpack from the scene of the crash before leaving.
As a result, Walker was arrested for the following charges:
-Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance with intent to distribute
-Possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance
-Outstanding felony warrant from the Bossier City Police Department for battery of a dating partner with child endangerment
Walker was taken to the Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked on those charges.
The crash remains under investigation.
