Shreveport Man Arrested for Leaving Small Children Unsupervised
On Friday, Shreveport Police Detectives were called by Louisiana Probation and Parole Officers who found that a man they were following-up on who they say left 4 children unattended in an unfurnished apartment.
The Parole Officers discovered the four children in a nearly empty apartment when they were trying to make contact with Ca'Marion Davis-Howard. The children were clearly too young to be responsibly alone, and Officers noted that the children included a 5-year-old female, a 3-year-old male, a 1-year-old male, and an 11-month-old male.
SPD Officers showed up to the scene and started their investigation. They were quickly able to identify Davis-Howard as the father of the children. Davis-Howard was contacted and told to return to the apartment. Police say it took him 40 minutes to an hour to return to the apartment.
Davis-Howard was arrested and booked on four counts of child desertion. The children were turned over to the proper authorities for care and protection.
This incident remains under investigation.
