SHREVEPORT, LA-   Arrest of Man for Cruelty to a Juvenile

The Shreveport Police Department has arrested 52-year-old Manuel Oneal on charges of second-degree cruelty to a juvenile. This arrest follows an investigation conducted by the Shreveport Police Juvenile Services Detectives into a reported incident involving a juvenile.

The investigation revealed that the juvenile was subjected to a spanking that escalated to a level requiring medical attention. As a result, the juvenile was transported to a local hospital and is expected to recover.

Manuel Oneal has been charged with one count of second-degree cruelty to a juvenile.
