Shreveport Man Arrested for Brentwood Hospital Arson
Shreveport Fire Investigators have arrested a man in connection with a fire that was intentionally set at Brentwood Hospital.
Last week, the Shreveport Fire Department responded to Brentwood Hospital on Highland Avenue to reports of a trash fire. When SFD got to the scene, Engine 5 found a small fire and quickly put it out. No injuries were reported.
Around 3:30 AM that same morning, investigators located a man walking down Marshall Street that matched the description of the man seen leaving the area when the fire was discovered. 35 year-old Donald Reed was arrested and booked for one count each of the following:
-Resisting an officer (failure to identify)
-Littering.
The following day, new evidence was found that linked Reed to the fire and investigators added another charge of Simple Arson.
