A boil advisory that was in place for some Shreveport residents has been lifted. Shreveport Water System officials say the advisory for the 9705 through 9900 blocks of Smitherman Drive, including University Elementary School, and the 301 blocks of N. and S. Wickford Circle were put in place while crews worked to repair a water main. The Department of Health and Hospitals has tested the water and not found any problems, so it's given the go-ahead to rescind the boil advisory.
