Shreveport Firefighters Battle Blaze at Popular Buffet
Last night, Shreveport Firefighters were called out to a fire in the 7400 block of Youree Drive.
Fire crews got to the site of the Sumo Buffet on Youree, and could see heavy smoke coming from the top of the commercial building. With 15 fire and support units operated by 45 fire personnel, the Firefighters were able to get patrons and employees out of the restaurant to safety while other crews fought the fire from within the building and on the roof of the structure.

It took Shreveport Fire crews around 20 minutes to bring this situation under control. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported by civilians or firefighters.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Shreveport Fire
Investigation division.
