Louisiana Horror Fans: Get Your Picture with Art the Clown in Full Costume in Shreveport

Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, will be back in Downtown Shreveport this August. This will be the 10th Anniversary of the event, and will be held at the Shreveport Convention Center from August 22nd-24th. Over the last 10 years, the event has turned into one of the biggest comic con style events in Louisiana.

You can expect to shop from over 200 vendor spaces, on two floors, filled with comic book retailers, handmade crafts, shirts, collectibles, trading cards, vintage toys, artwork, and much more. Vendors from all over the US, and right here in Shreveport-Bossier, will be on-hand all weekend for fans to buy, sell, and trade.

Your Chance for a Pro Photo Op with Art the Clown in Shreveport

This year's Geek'd Con will feature a once-in-a-lifetime chance to have your picture taken with actor David Howard Thornton in full Art The Clown costume in Shreveport.

That's right, you have the opportunity to meet actor David Howard Thornton, who portrays the terrifying character Art the Clown in the "Terrifier" film series, and take a professional photo with him while he's in his full Art makeup. All of this is happening at Geek'd Con in Downtown Shreveport. But its just one day, and one set photo op. The date for the Art The Clown photo op will be Saturday, August 23rd, 2025.

These photo ops offer a unique chance for fans of the "Terrifier" series to get a high-quality photo, taken by a professional photographer, with one of modern horror's most iconic villains. Fans will get to pose with David Howard Thornton in his Art The Clown costume, and then the photos will be printed on-site. You can also have them made available digitally.

Art the Clown: In-Character Photo Experience

Just a heads up, in most cases, when David Howard Thornton is in his Art gear, he's going to remain in character for the most part. Since Art the Clown is a silent character, Thornton will usually maintain the character's silence during the photo op, communicating through body language, and expressions.

For fans looking to get their picture taken with the real Art The Clown, you're only going to be able to do this through the Pro Photo Op on that Saturday. While Thornton is going to be appearing at his table during the show for autographs and pictures at the table, they will be with him outside of makeup.

Another Huge Terrifier Photo Op With Actress Samantha Scaffidi

Now, for hardcore "Terrifier" fans, you will have a chance to get another important photo op. On Sunday, August 24th, 2025 Geek'd Con will host a Pro Photo Op with Thornton (out of makeup) and actress Samantha Scaffidi. In the "Terrifier" series, Thornton and Scaffidi are the only two who have appeared in all three movies. With Scaffidi playing Victoria Heyes, and Thornton being Art.

So, "Terrifier" fans in Shreveport will have a chance to lock in a couple of incredible photo ops without having to leave town!
