Construction Underway, but Progress Already Impresses

Parts of the terminal are still under construction. The left side of the main hallway is taped off with temporary barriers and signs reading “Danger: Construction Area—Keep Out.” But even with the ongoing work, it’s clear the final product will be worth the wait. Updated flooring and ceilings already give the space a more polished feel.

Local Art that Tells a Story

A major highlight of the renovations is the local art with even more to come. Blue tape outlines mark the wall, mapping out where future pieces will be installed, but right now you will see several completed pieces: a vibrant painting featuring an American flag, towering sunflowers, and a pumpkin, an image that feels both patriotic and deeply Southern. Nearby, another mural bursts with life, depicting downtown Shreveport’s Strand Theatre in a colorful, sketchbook style that brings the city’s history to life.

A Splash of Color at Every Turn

In past years, the terminal was marked by bland walls and outdated seating. Not anymore. Now, every window is framed by bold accent colors, reds, blues, and yellows that brighten the long corridor. The new seating follows suit, with modern stools and lounge chairs in eye-catching shades of orange and royal blue, with high-top counters at the windows, perfect for catching up on work or enjoying a view of the runway.

Modern Comforts for Modern Travelers

The seating upgrades are more than cosmetic. Each table now includes charging ports, and the layout feels more open and inviting. Whether you're flying, waiting on a friend, or just enjoying a cup of coffee, the new setup makes the experience more pleasant. It feels like a space designed with people in mind.
