The Shreveport Police Department has arrested 43-year-old Brandon Leviston on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm and domestic abuse battery. The arrest follows an incident on May 29, in which Leviston allegedly grabbed a juvenile household member by the neck, threw her to the ground, and threatened her with a handgun.

On June 17, detectives with the Shreveport Police Department's Domestic Violence Unit took Leviston into custody in the 700 block of Bernard Boulevard. He has been booked into the Shreveport City Jail.

The Shreveport Police Department encourages anyone experiencing domestic violence to seek help. Support and resources are available for victims.
