SPD got a call from Palm Road to a report of missing children. When Police showed up, they got all the information they needed, and called Detectives from Juvenile Crimes Unit to help out with the investigation.

The Detectives were able to figure out that 33 year-old Laquesha Washington got in to a verbal fight with her 12 and 11 year-old children. According to the kids, Washington forced them out of the car at Broadway and Hollywood, drove away, and left them alone on the street.

Hours later, Washington called SPD to report the children as missing. While Police were on the scene, a family member contacted Washington and said the children were safe at their home on Andrew Avenue.

After the investigation, and knowing the children were in a safe place, Washington was arrested and charged with two counts of Criminal Neglect of Family. Children and Family Services were also contacted to make sure the kids were safe.

Both children were unharmed.
