
Should Christopher Cope’s Sentence Be Life in Prison or the Death Penalty?
Jurors return to the Caddo district courtroom today to begin the punishment phase of the murder trial of 26-year-old Christopher Cope.
Cope was found guilty of first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Shreveport Police Sergeant Tim Prunty two years ago.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. Defense lawyers will be trying to get a life sentence.
