Bossier City Welcomes New Chief Administrative Officer Shane Cheatham
Bossier City will soon have a new Chief Administrative Officer. Mayor Tommy Chandler has announced he has selected Shane Cheatham to take over that role in city government.
Chandler says
Cheatham is a life-long resident of Bossier City. He is a respected business owner, he has held elected office and he is known to be a professional and a leader that is very active in Bossier City especially South Bossier.
This appointment comes on the heels of the news late last year that Amanda Nottingham was stepping down as CAO in Bossier and would be moving to a new position with Swepco.
Back in 2021 Cheatham was the top contender for the job, but Mayor Chandler could not muster the votes needed to confirm Cheatham at the time.

Mayor Chandler says he is is excited about adding Cheatham to his Administrative team. Mayor Chandler says Cheatham has a proven work ethic and is also committed to service and his integrity. Chandler says this makes him the sensible choice for the position of CAO.
What's Next for Cheatham Appointment
Cheatham now has to be confirmed by the Bossier City Council before he can officially take over. We can only assume Mayor Chandler has the votes to make this happen. Chandler says Cheatham will be committed to making Bossier better.

The next Bossier City Council meeting is Tuesday, January 20 at 3pm. The Cheatham appointment is expected to be added to the agenda for possible confirmation on that day.
