US Senator Bill Cassidy joined 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty in-studio Tuesday morning discussing a myriad of topics, including President Trump and the state of America, school safety, the opioid epidemic and more.

The first term lawmaker says that the President "won't let Washington be calm', but, at the same time, makes his adversaries cringe. The Senator cites Trump's success in dealing with North Korea, specifically Kim Jong Un, with a series of nontraditional negotiating ploys that have kept the leader of the hermit Kingdom obviously off guard.

Cassidy also explains his recent "no vote" on the $1.3 trillion Omnibus bill, saying, "it was the Democrat parties price for increasing military spending was to increase spending on domestic issues,' a deal to which Republican leaders acceded.

Hear Robert J Wright and Erin Mccarty weekday mornings 6 til 9 on 101.7 / 710 KEEL, or by downloading the free KEEL app, presented by Office Furniture Source.
