Second Suspect Arrested in Shreveport Home Invasion
Shreveport Police have arrested a second suspect in a home invasion that happened last week on Amherst Street.
Last week two people broke in to the Amherst Street home while the homeowner and small children were inside. The two had left the scene before SPD showed up.
When Police got to the scene, the homeowner told them that two people forced their way in to the home by kicking the door down. The homeowner was inside the house with three small children at the time of the terrifying home invasion. Both men ran off before SPD could get there.
On Saturday at 4am SPD responded to a shooting on Monkhouse Drive. While Police were investigating the shooting, they were able to determine that the two people involved in the shooting were the ones also responsible for the Friday home-invasion.
SPD, first arrested Nehemiah Tillman following the shooting. A short time later SPD arrested Timberly Richmond in connection with the break-in.
From SPD:
"Both Richmond and Tillman have been charged with home invasion in connection with this case. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
