Shreveport Police are investigating a shooting which left a young boy wounded.

The shooting happened just before 9pm on Wednesday night in the 2000 block of Milam Street.  As officers arrived at the home, they found the victim, a 12 year old boy, suffering a single gunshot wound to the upper torso.  The victim, who was taken via ambulance to University Health and is listed in serious, but stable condition.

Detectives learned the boy was one of several people inside the home when someone fired several shots at the home. The young boy was sitting on a sofa when he was shot by a round which appeared to have traveled through the home’s window from outside the residence.
