He sent a video message to the students at Walnut Hill Elementary/Middle School.

Physical education coach Jordan Edwards wanted to find a way to motivate his students and he got in touch with Brees agent last year to try to set something up. Well, it all worked out and he got the video message this week.

Edwards told KTBS: "After a while, students get tired of hearing their teachers and coaches talk. So I thought maybe a professional athlete would get their attention, I never thought that athlete would be Drew Brees.”

Brees made 4 key points to the youngsters:

1. Do your best
2. Have fun
3. Trust yourself and your team mates
4. Never quit
