The steroid/performance-enhancing drug scandal has been a topic of interest for Rush, but more recently, some comments from the only living person currently banned from baseball for life, Pete Rose.

Pete Rose appeared on a Pittsburgh radio station recently and told the hosts of that show that he chose the wrong vice.

"I picked the wrong vice.  I shoulda picked alcohol, I shoulda picked drugs, or I shoulda picked beating up my wife or my girlfriend, because if you do those three, you get a second chance, but they haven't given too many gamblers second chances in the world of baseball," Rose told the Pittsburgh show.

And Rush agreed with the former ballplayer and manager.

"He's got a point.  It's hard to argue with that.  He's got a point," stated Rush.  "There are all kinds of second chances given for all kinds of violations, but not for him because he was gambling."

He continued saying that baseball was Rose's life and that has been taken from him.
