Republicans will hold chairmanships and majority positions on key monetary and tax panels, with budget committee members nearly split between backers of the two main candidates for speaker, eventual winner Clay Schexnayder’s and challenger Sherman Mack. However, Schexnayder backers have more influence over the tax committees.
