Rape Suspect In Brutal Attack Sought

Shreveport Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a male suspect who brutally raped a female victim last night in west Shreveport. At approximately 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2011, patrol officers were dispatched to a home in the 1500 block of Glen Avenue to a reported sexual assault.  Upon arrival officers discovered an adult female victim who advised them she was at her home watching television when she heard a loud noise coming from the kitchen.  She went to check on it and discovered a man, who had just broken out a window in her kitchen door and gained entry into her home.  This suspect subsequently accosted the victim and sexually assaulted her.

After the attack, the man fled the scene of the crime.  Officers and detectives are working diligently at this hour in a concerted effort to identify and apprehend this offender.  The suspect has been described as a black male, approximately five feet nine to five feet ten inches tall, with a very thin build and a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a red shirt and black pants.  He reportedly has some facial hair and was wearing a stud style earring in each ear.
