‘Pups on the Patio’ Fundraiser at Bossier’s New Brewery

Man's best friend gets the royal treatment at a special fundraiser this weekend.

'Pups on the Patio' is Flying Heart Brewing's first-ever event to raise money for Friends of Bossier City Animal Control. Co-owner Jennifer Maxwell says she's hoping to make this an annual fundraiser.

There will be lots for you and your pups to take part in, like a red carpet and photo op area and costume contests in eight different categories: Owner/Pet Lookalike, Best Home-made Costume, Scariest, Cutest, Funniest, Most Glamorous Girl, Most Macho Boy and Best Celebrity Lookalike. Cost to enter the contests is a donated item for Bossier City Animal Control, like towels, shampoo or doggie treats.

"We are excited to be able to support such a great cause," Maxwell said. "Each of the three families involved in the brewery are pet owners, and we see such value in the work that Friends of Bossier City Animal Control does to help the animals in Bossier Parish that need it most."

Everything's going on at the brewery located at 700 Barksdale Boulevard in Bossier City from 4-8PM Sunday, June 28. Tickets are $15 each and include a pint of beer.
