Pumpkin Shine on Line in Shreveport Is One Week Away
SHREVEPORT, LA - One of the areas most popular fall events is just a week away. The annual Pumpkin Shine on Line is happening on Tuesday, October 22 at Betty Virginia Park in the South Highlands neighborhood.
This event runs from 4-8pm with food, entertainment and of course pumpkins of all varieties. Just to stroll through the park and look at all the creative works of art involving pumpkin carving is so amazing.
Students from all over the region take part in this special event. There are prizes for the best pumpkins. Several local school groups will be performing during this amazing night of fun.
Be sure to bring some money to buy eats and treats. And you are also encouraged to bring chairs or blankets so you can plop down and enjoy all of the festivities. But the best thing to do during Pumpkin Shine on Line is to wander along the trail in the park and take a close look at the hundreds of decorated pumpkins.
This is a great way to get fall started and Pumpkin Shine draws crowds from all over the region.
If you are ever looking for something to do with the entire family, this is it. Betty Virginia Park will be overrun with children running around and playing and enjoying a great fall night out with the family.
My family has some great memories from strolling through the park checking out all the cool pumpkins.
And yes, it is ok to bring your pup as long as you keep your dog on a leash.
