A new CNN report says that President Obama's approval rating has dropped 8 points since last month, from 53 to 45 percent. This could be related to the NSA surveillance program that is gathering information of telephone calls, emails and internet habits of Americans, among other recent scandals.

The president's approval rating is down the most among young voters, falling 17 points. Young Americans are likely more concerned than anyone about their privacy, so the possibility of emails, texts and phone calls being looked at by the government is a scary proposition.

Other reasons causing the decline may also be related to recent White House scandals, such as Benghazi, IRS and AP.
