SHREVEPORT, LA-  On 10-14-23 the subject turned himself in and was arrested for the warrant.

Investigators with the Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Unit have procured a warrant for a man following a battery at a downtown nightclub this past weekend.

On October 10, 2023, a man reported that he was battered outside of Club Haze on October 7th. Shreveport Police received video of the battery on October 9 and were actively working to identify the victim when he came forward. Through their investigation, detectives learned that the man was a patron of the establishment and was removed from the nightclub by what was believed to be their security team. Once outside of the establishment, the video showed the security guard, later identified as Zacchaeus Butler (2-19-1990), striking the victim in the head with what appeared to be a bottle.

On 10-12-2023 Investigators procured a warrant for Butler charging him with one count of Aggravated Battery. Bond was set at $50,000.

Shreveport Police have been unable to locate Butler and are asking anyone with information as to Butler’s whereabouts to call the Shreveport Police Department at 318-673-7300 #3. Those wishing to submit information anonymously are asked to do so by contacting Caddo Shreveport Crimestoppers at 318-673-7373, P3 tips.com, or via their mobile app P3Tips which can be downloaded to your Android or IOS device.
