SHREVEPORT, LA - I'm a dog lover and I recently took my dog to Dallas where he got to play with his buddy Claude for the weekend. Beau is a very gentle dog, but he can be very protective of me and my son (his Daddy). Beau is part pit bull.

When I was searching for Air BNB places, I noticed several have restrictions about the size of your dog and some even have restrictions on the breeds you can have in the home. I started doing a little checking and found several cities in Louisiana have bans in place for pit bulls. Other cities have listed some dog breeds as "dangerous."

What Cities Ban Pit Bulls in Louisiana?

Winnfield, Kinder, Mamou, Morgan City, New Llano and St. Francisville.

The St. Landry Parish Shelter has a no-adopt out pit bull policy.
