We have put together a list of some of the best state parks in Louisiana. It is summer time and it's great to enjoy a little getaway with the family. If you want fun and activities, you don't have to go very far. Louisiana has several beautiful parks and recreational areas that are available for some amazing outdoor activities.
Many of these state parks have swimming pools, beaches or water playgrounds for cooling off during the summer heat. These water features opened up over the Memorial Day weekend.
These swimming areas at state parks are open to all overnight guests or day visitors at no extra charge.

What Louisiana State Parks Have Pools?
Chemin-A-Haut near Bastrop
Lake D’Arbonne in Farmerville
North Toledo Bend near Zwolle
These pools are open every day throughout the summer from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lifeguards are also on duty during pool hours. These pools will be open through Labor Day.
State Parks are also a great place to go for a day of fishing, hiking or just enjoying the outdoors. Several state parks also have cabins and camping available. You can make reservations for cabins by clicking here.

Some of the state parks in Louisiana are named among the best fishing spots in the nation. You could venture all the way to the tip of the state to Grand Isle for some deep sea fishing or take the short drive to the Toledo Bend Reservoir for some of the best bass fishing in the world.
